Managing your supplier account

Login and password

You will need your email address and password to access your account. These details are unique to you, and you should never share them with others in your team. You can create additional accounts from your dashboard.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.

Bookmark Supplier Hub so that it is easy to access every time you want to log in.

Managing notifications

When you complete your profile you can opt-in to receive opportunity notifications. The opportunities are based on the categories you select when you complete your registration.

You can manage which opportunity notifications you receive by selecting 'Manage notifications' from the panel on your dashboard.

You can also opt-out of notifications from the panel on your dashboard.

Adding team members

You can add as many of your employees and team members to your account as you need to. Supplier Hub does not have a limit.

Only the account owner can add or remove users through the team members section, which is accessible either from the app tile on their dashboard, or my apps page, or through their my account page.

There is no risk of a team member deleting you or any other user. They do not have the same level of permission as the account owner. If the account owner accidentally removes a team member, contact us and we can re-activate. Requests to become a team member are automatically forwarded to you for approval.

If the account owner leaves the business, the supplier account needs to be transferred to someone else. We recommend that you do this prior to personnel change where possible.

Business details

You will need to provide the following:

  • Your company details
  • Business name and ABN
  • Contact details, including business address
  • Company type and size
  • Legal disclosures
  • Products and services

Supplier Hub allows suppliers to create and manage a profile for their business based on a unique, valid ABN. All information gathered during the registration and profile building process is associated with that particular ABN. We do not allow suppliers to change the ABN for an active profile.

If you have more than one ABN, we support multiple companies for a single registered user. You can create additional profiles in your dashboard and then toggle between companies under your account page.

If your business is not based in Australia, you can find out whether you are eligible for an ABN .

When you sign up, you agree to our terms of use  and supplier code of conduct .

Your supplier profile

Once you have completed your registration, you can complete your supplier profile.

The supplier profile is optional and not required to appear in our search results. However, we strongly recommend filling in as much information as possible to make your business stand out.

Your supplier profile provides comprehensive information to buyers which they may not be able to find elsewhere. It can include:

  • Licences, accreditations and awards
  • Your special capabilities and expertise
  • References and case studies
  • Government credentials
  • Information about your team members

NSW Government encourages diverse and gender equitable supplier applications. We are particularly interested in profiles created by SMEs, Aboriginal-owned businesses, businesses identified as an Australian Disability Enterprise, regional, social enterprises and gender-equitable businesses.

Please note that you can upload proof of any credentials, licences or accreditations. This will be checked by buyers in the event of engaging you as a supplier.

Company documents

buy.nsw is committed to supporting you to ‘tell us once’. The company documents section in your supplier profile has been transformed into a document library where you can upload, manage and reuse documents across buy.nsw including when applying for or amending your scheme membership.

You can upload any document that you are likely to reuse. This includes financial statements, insurance documents, marketing materials, references, experience information or even resumes of key staff.

You can also make these documents visible only to you and your team members or, through a simple checkbox, logged in buyers. Competitors or other suppliers do not have access to this information.

Uploading company documents is not mandatory, however, using the document storage will simplify responding to opportunities and updating your information. Buyers also often use this information when researching potential suppliers.

Your document storage is limited to 500mb per profile and we accept .doc, .xls, .pdf, .jpg, .png file formats. You can update files at any time, and you will be alerted when documents expire.

Scheme memberships

Schemes are lists of suppliers that government agencies can use to seek proposals or quotes from. You do not need to apply to be a member of scheme to sell to NSW Government. However, benefits include invites to limited tenders.

Your Supplier Hub account gives you access to eTendering . You can use eTendering to apply for schemes and manage notifications for opportunities.

If you are already a member of a scheme, your scheme membership will be added to your profile and be visible in your dashboard. When you first register for Supplier Hub it may take 24 hours for your scheme membership to be visible. Scheme memberships are visible to buyers.

You cannot edit scheme membership information yourself. Only the registered user who applied for the scheme can manage scheme memberships through eTendering .

Buyer view

You can view your profile as a buyer by selecting the tile at the top left of your dashboard. This tile will show how your profile is displayed to a logged-in, verified buyer. This will include any additional documentation (such as financial statements) that you may have uploaded, details on your team and organisation, and the ability for the buyer to contact you.

Viewing your profile as a buyer can help you edit your information to make it clearer to buyers. You can only view your profile this way. No other supplier profiles can be accessed.

To view your profile as a public user simple log out and search for your profile. Public users have access to basic company information, scheme memberships and the categories you selected when completing your registration.
