Description
The NSW Government Motor Vehicle Pre-qualification Scheme ("the Scheme") provides access to a range of Motor Vehicles to NSW Government and other Eligible Buyers including Government agencies, State Owned Corporations and Non-Government Organisations such as local councils, charities etc. Under the Scheme, Approved Providers may supply passenger cars, SUVs, light commercials and heavy commercial vehicles. Applicants MUST be Manufacturers or sole importers/distributors and may apply to join the Scheme at any time to become an approved provider.
Scope
The Applicant must identify its areas of substantial expertise by nominating the vehicle categories (as per below) in which it is seeking prequalification. Pricing template should be competed for the capabilitiy being applied for.
Commercial – PU/CC 4x2
Commercial – PU/CC 4x4
Commercial – Van less than or equal to 2,500kg GVM
Commercial – Van over 2,501 GVM to 4,500kg GVM
Commercial – Bus 8 to 19 seater
Commercial – Bus 20 + seater
Commercial - Light Duty Truck => 4,501kg - 8,000kg GVM
Commercial – Medium Duty Truck => 8,001kg GVM & GCM < 39,001kg
Commercial – Truck Heavy Duty => 8,001kg GVM & GCM > 39,000kg
Passenger Car - Micro
Passenger Car – Light
Passenger Car – Small
Passenger Car – Medium
Passenger Car – Large
Passenger Car – Upper Large
Passenger SUV – Small
Passenger SUV – Medium
Passenger SUV – Large
Passenger SUV – Upper Large

Instructions
Applicants should read and comply with the Scheme Condition requirements and complete an online application to become an approved provider. Applicants are required to answer the online questions and upload the requested documents including Motor Vehicle Pricing Template, Insurance documents and Warranty information. Vehciles should meet the requirements to be eligible under the Scheme Conditions:
- Must comply with current Australian Design Rules (ADRs)
- Registerable in NSW
- Maintain current insurance certificates
- Meet safety requirements including 5 Star ANCAP rating (Clause 37 of Scheme Conditions)
- Within maximum emission limits (Clause 38 of Scheme Conditions)
- 5-year warranty (Must be transferrable upon sale of motor vehicle). For BEVs, the 5-year warranty is required only for the high voltage battery and the power train / drive unit.
- Below the Luxury Car Tax threshold
- Automatic transmission (Passenger vehicles)
If your company is already an approved provider under the Scheme and would like to submit new vehicle for inclusion under approved capability please email the vehicle details in the pricing template to NSWP_Fleet@treasury.nsw.gov.au. For new capabilities, please amend your application with the new capability.
